Mental Health Care Support
Finding it hard to shift low mood, or struggling with anxious thoughts and feelings? It might be time to seek help from an accredited professional. Anxiety and depression can be debilitating and reduce your capacity to cope with normal life challenges. As a qualified Mental Health Social Worker, I use tools such as cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and other mindfulness based approaches to help you to feel empowered to make positive change. I have a particular interest in working with perinatal mental health, parenting challenges and work from a trauma informed lens. Referral from your GP with a mental health care plan means I can provide Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions in any one year. Feel free to make contact to discuss further.
Victims of Crime Counselling
I have extensive experience working as a counsellor for those impacted by trauma and seeking support through what was VOCAT (Victims of Crime Tribunal, and is now called FAS (Financial Assistance Scheme). I offer trauma informed therapy and psychological report writing to support clients who have been impacted by crime. This often involves liaising with lawyers in making an application for counselling expenses, and other financial awards to address your need for safety and healing.
